She’s quickly ascended the ranks as one of the best attention-grabbing stars in the entertainment world, and Kim Kardashian was selected to host the grand opening party of Wet Republic in Las Vegas, Nevada on Saturday afternoon (April 16).

Having flown to Sin City earlier in the day, the 30-year-old brunette beauty took to the MGM Grand locale area to get the pool season underway with a celebration put on by Hawaiian Tropic.

During the course of the partygoing efforts, Miss Kardashian was joined by ‘N Sync’s Lance Bass while giving all the guys plenty of reason to take a trip Wet Repblic, as she tweeted to her younger brother Robert, “Omg @RobKardashian there are soooo many girls at @WetRepublic u would think are so pretty! U should have come w me! I’m trying to hook u up”

After having a few refreshments, hitting an inflated beach ball around with her accompanying friends and collecting what was surely a nice paycheck, Kim quickly hopped a flight back home to Los Angeles, telling of the evening’ plans, “Back home from Vegas…. Now family dinner at moms house.”

Sources close to Kim Kardashian tell TMZ … Kim is upset that a picture from one of her photo shoots ended up on the cover of Turkish Cosmopolitan — the country that many believe committed genocide on the Armenian people.

We’re told Kim — an Armenian who has been vocal about the genocide — did an international photo shoot that went to various magazines published by Cosmo, but she didn’t know it would end up on the Turkish version of the mag.

Sources say Cosmo let Kim’s people know which international outlets of the magazine would use her picture — but we’re told Cosmo never mentioned Turkey to Kim or her reps. Our sources say Kim would never have approved the use of her pic in the Turkish version.

Rubbing salt in the wound … April 24 is the day Armenians commemorate the genocide — just weeks after her pic was splashed on the cover of Turkish Cosmo.

No immediate comment from Cosmo.
