Celebrating the wintertime holiday with loved ones, the Kardashian/Jenner family gathered together at Kris and Bruce Jenner’s house for a festive Christmas Eve soiree on Saturday night (December 24).
Tweeting about the evening plans, Kim joyously wrote, “Is everyone excited for Christmas Eve? Excited for my moms annual party! This Christmas will be all about Mason!”
Giving a glimpse of the party happenings was photographer Nick Saglimbeni, who tweeted a shot of Kim in her sleepwear, with which he messaged, “Cutest memory of the evening: @KimKardashian walking around in her PJs.”
Also included in Saglimbeni’s shots were a more dressed-up Kim, her brother Rob, along with Scott Disick and a photo shoot shot featuring sisters Kendall and Kylie Jenner.
Upon the Christmas Eve party’s end, Kim hopped back on Twitter to send out well-wishes to her millions of followers, as she thoughtfully posted, “I hope all of your holiday wishes come true & santa fills your heart & tree w every goodie u can imagine! Don’t forget 2leave cookies & milk”
Brittny Gastineau! With her family name tied to football, it was only fitting Brittny Gastineau made the big catch at Kim Kardashian’s wedding.
The estranged daughter of former NFL star Mark Gastineau grabbed Kim’s bouquet, which is traditionally a sign as to who will be the next bride.
The Gastineau Girls star, 27, admitted she cheated slightly in order to catch the flowers at the beautiful Saturday ceremony between Kim and Kris Humphries.
The childhood friend of Kim’s told Entertainment Tonight: “I had a little talk with her when she was going to throw the bouquet. I said, ‘Listen, you and I have been best friends the longest. I’d better catch this bouquet.’ And she looks at me and she winks at me.”
Many of the guests guessed it was fixed that Brittny would catch the bouquet, and playfully jeered her triumph.
“I was like, ‘I’m next!’” Brittny joked. “And everyone was screaming, ‘We want a do-over! Brittny can’t win it!’”
Brittny — who was rumored to be dating Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps last year — observed Kim had caught her sister Khloe’s bouquet at her wedding to Lamar Odom last year, adding: “When a Kardashian throws a bouquet, it’s lucky.”
Brittny also revealed some details from the lavish nuptials, which was attended by 440 guests and saw Kim wear three different Vera Wang dresses and jewelry worth a reported $6 million.
Brittny was especially moved to see her friend looking like an “old Hollywood glamorous princess” as she was walked down the aisle by her stepfather Bruce Jenner.
My favorite moment was when Bruce was walking her down the aisle and I just looked at her and I knew that this is finally here, this day that you’ve always wanted, and you met a great guy.
“Who would ever think that she would meet a guy named Kris with a K? That’s when you know it’s meant to be.”
Brittny also revealed the food at the Wolfgang Puck-catered wedding was “unreal” and the wedding cake — a 6-feet-tall layered cake from Hansen’s Bakery worth $15,000 — was “to die for.”
The wedding and reception were taped for a two-part E! special airing in October; Keeping Up With the Kardashians airs Sundays at 10/9c on E!
The couple is currently enjoying a quickie honeymoon in Capri, as Kim is due to present at MTV’s Video Music Awards back in Los Angeles on Sunday.

After Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries said “I do,” the happy couple and their guests moved the festivities to another tent on the private Montecito, Calif., estate to party the night away — but not before a quick wardrobe change for the bride and groom. According to E! News, Kim swapped her Vera Wang wedding dress for an ivory mermaid gown with hand-pieced Chantilly lace on the bodice.
Once inside, the couple were introduced as “Mr. and Mrs. Humphries” by Robin Thicke where they shared their first dance to Thicke’s “Angels.”
Her stepfather Bruce Jenner gave a quick (and heartfelt) speech, toasting to the newlyweds: “Tonight is really about family— joining two families.” The best man and all the bridesmaids (including Khloe, Kourtney, Kylie, Kendall) also gave speeches.
During the festivities, guests were served an array of elegant foods, from buffalo mozzarella and heirloom tomato salad with basil and “tomato chips” to agnolotti with sweet corn mascarpone and summer truffles, roast chicken with Yukon Gold potato puree, caramelized brussels sprouts and summer truffles.
So who was lucky enough to score an invite? Celebrity guests included Demi Lovato, Babyface, Vera Wang, Mario Lopez, Mark Ballas, Ciaro and Carmelo Anthony, Eva Longoria, and Eduardo Cruz, Alan Thicke, Maria Menounos, Sugar Ray Leonard, Kathy Lee Gifford, Brit Gastineau, Greta Van Sustren, Jillian Barberie, Brody Jenner and Avril Lavigne, Scottie and Larsa Pippen, and Dina, Ali and Lindsay Lohan.
After dinner and more dancing, Kim and Kris cut their multi-tiered chocolate-and-vanilla swirl cake studded with chocolate chips.
What’s black and white and beautiful all over—with just a little hint of pink?
Kim Kardashian’s wedding ceremony, that’s what!
The E! star tied the knot tonight with Kris Humphries in front of 450 of their nearest and dearest, and we’ve got all the deets, from how Kim topped off her unforgettable bridal look to the touching tribute to Kim’s late dad to how little Mason Disick nearly stole the show, twice!
Oh, and you probably want to know a little bit about the dress, right?
As you all know, Kim wore ivory Vera Wang. But though People will have those pictures for you this Friday in the Sept. 5 issue, we can tell you that the dress was strapless, with a fitted bodice, a full, rather traditionally cut tulle skirt, and an epic train. The shoes were Guiseppe Zanotti. Her hair was up and her veil remained off her face as she walked down the aisle, the veil topped by a jeweled headpiece with diamonds that dripped onto Kim’s forehead.
Bruce Jenner walked her down the aisle. She carried a white-rose bouquet down the aisle, and white roses indeed seemed to be the flower of the evening. The entire ceremony—and the ongoing reception—had a black and white theme, with the only stitch of color being the tiny pink box that Humphries’ best man, longtime pal Josh Ketroser, presented the rings in.
Khloé Kardashian Odom and Kourtney Kardashian were matron and maid of honor, while Kylie and Kendal Jenner and Kris’ sister, Kaela Humphries, served as bridesmaids. All wore ivory.
According to E!’s chief news correspondent—and wedding guest!—Ken Baker, the ceremony started at around 6:37 p.m., lasted approximately 30 minutes and was brimming with charming moments.
The program passed out to guests included tributes to Humphries’ late grandmother and grandfather, as well as to Kim’s late father, attorney Robert Kardashian.
“I so wish my dad could be here today to walk me down the aisle. But I know in a way he is here, and I feel his loving presence all around me. I love and miss you, dad,” read the passage prepared by Kim.
As Humphries took his place at the altar, he could be heard whispering to a buddy, “I’m nervous,” but he steeled himself with a few deep breaths and carried on.
Kourtney’s son Mason was the ring bearer, but as Kourtney started carrying him down the aisle (marked with the same intertwined “K” logo from the invitations) she stumbled slightly, prompting a collective gasp from the guests. All was fine, and Mason grabbed the symbolic pillow and hurried it down the aisle himself. After that, it was into daddy Scott Disick’s arms for most of the ceremony.
Pastor Joel Johnson, who’s known Humphries since he was a teenager, did the officiating. He opened by telling those assembled, “This is not just a mere wedding event.”
How could he tell?!
At one point during the traditional Christian service, Johnson recounted how he had asked the bride and groom beforehand to write down the thing each loved most about the other and show him their answers.
According to the pastor, Kim said that Kris puts a smile on her face every day, he’s the “yin to her yang,” he brings calm to her life, she appreciates the trust he gives her and, to quote Kim, he brings the fun out of her. As for Kris, he said he loved Kim for her compassion, how she treats every day as if it’s her last and how, the first time they met, all she talked about was her family.
he din of helicopters whirring overhead was constant, but the bride, groom and pastor were miked for the occasion, so the noise didn’t mar the mood too much. (The cameras that were onhand capturing all the action for E!’s two-part wedding special were strategically placed and draped in white to better blend in.)
The ceremony concluded with a prayer, and little Mason showed his agreement by joining in with a cry. Kourtney helped him calm down, Kim and Kris kissed, and there was much applause.
It was off to the grounds out back for champagne and hors d’oeuvres before the big reception began. Kim had at least two more outfits she was planning to change into, both Vera Wang and both ivory. Kris swapped his white Ermenegildo Zegna jacket and bowtie for a black jacket and tie by the same designer to match his groomsmen.

E!’s Keeping Up With the Kardashians star Kim Kardashian wed New Jersey Nets forward Kris Humphries in front of a veritable who’s who of Hollywood, Kardashian publicist Jill Fritzo told People magazine and E! The 440 guests at the Montecito, Calif., black-tie affair, held on a private estate, included Demi Lovato, Mario Lopez, Eva Longoria, Sugar Ray Leonard, Alan Thicke and Lindsay Lohan.
The bride — as she had previously announced on her blog earlier this month — wore an ivory custom couture gown designed by Vera Wang, whom she cites as a “close family friend.”
And it was certainly a family affair: Kardashian’s stepfather, Bruce Jenner, walked her down the aisle. Her sisters and TV co-stars Kourtney Kardashian, 32, and Khloe Kardashian, 27, served as co-maids of honor. Younger sisters Kendall, 15, and Kylie Jenner, 14, and Humphries’ sister, Kaela, were bridesmaids. And Kourtney’s 21-month-old son Mason Disick served as the ring bearer.
The groom, 26, donned a made-to-measure white peak lapel tuxedo jacket, black tuxedo pants with white tuxedo shirt and white bow tie, all by Ermenegildo Zegna. The couple exchanged rings by Lorraine Schwartz, who also designed the engagement ring.
The lavish nuptuals were the culmination of a mere 3-month engagement. Humphries popped the question with a 20.5 carat ring in May after a nearly 8-month courtship. “When you know, you know. You know it’s right, and why wait?” Kardashian told USA TODAY in June. She was certain the wedding would be grand: “I’ve always dreamed of having a big, elaborate wedding.”
Details of the big day have been fervently documented in celebrity gossip blogs, tabloids, and, of course, by Kardashian herself. She’s been keeping her 9 million-plus Twitter followers informed every step of the wedding-planning way.
“Today Is The Day! I can’t believe it’s finally here!” wrote Kardashian on her blog earlier on Saturday. The reality-TV star turned entrepreneur certainly has a knack for self-promotion. She even launched a special edition perfume to commemorate the occasion.
And, if your invitation got lost in the mail, you’ll be able to witness the big day for yourself when Kim’s Fairytale Wedding: A Kardashian Event airs over two nights in October. The E! behind-the-scenes special is slated to make its debut at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Oct. 9, with the second part airing a day later at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Oct. 10.
No word on where the couple will honeymoon, but the party isn’t set to stop there. In what is sure to be one of many post-wedding fetes, Kardashian and her new husband will be the guests of honor at a wedding celebration thrown by publisher Jason Binn and wedding planner to the stars Colin Cowie on Aug. 31 in New York.
It is the first marriage for Humphries, and the second for Kardashian. In 2000, Kardashian married music producer Damon Thomas. The pair divorced in 2004.
