It would serve all of us well to remember that there are few things the Kardashians say, do or tweet that are not tied to publicity or promotion.
If you recall a few weeks back, Kim Kardashian confused a number of us, when she started tweeting to the social media account of a fictitious plastic toy:
“Merry Christmas Barbs @BarbieStyle! Long time no see! What did Ken get you for Christmas? Miss you doll!” and ” I’m sure we will be seeing lots of each other!Shopping soon!Xo RT @BarbieStyle: Happy Doll-idays to you too @KimKardashian! See you in 2012?”
We posed the theory that since Kim has said she’s her own product and brand, that it wasn’t all that strange for her to be communicating with another brand and product.
It turns out Kim was just chatting with a business partner. E! Online confirms that the Kardashian sisters will be immortalized in plastic as they lend their likeness to become limited-edition Barbie-brand dolls.
Although a rep for Mattel told E! they don’t discuss product rumors, a source tells the network, that limited-edition Kim, Khloe and Kourtney dolls are in the works and should be available later this year.
Not shockingly, the line of dolls is rumored to be called the “Dash dolls” because the dolls will be wearing clothing tied into looks you can buy at the Kardashians’ Dash boutiques.
The sisters will join the ranks of other celebs like Cher, Audrey Hepburn, Elizabeth Taylor, Heidi Klum, and Barbara Streisand and others to have their own Barbie-branded dolls.

While in the Twin Cities, Kim Kardashian was reportedly overheard referring to Kris Humphries by the pet name “Roman.”
No further context or interpretation is available. But it doesn’t take much imagination to see a Roman god when you look at the gorgeous Humphries, although the NBAer’s beak is his least Augustusian facial feature.
After ringing in the New Year in Las Vegas at Tao, where she debuted her new single according to “Entertainment Tonight,” Kardashian flew to Minneapolis to be courtside while the Timberwolves rang in 2011 by defeating Humphries’ team, the Nets.
In other activities, an e-mailer by the name of Alex Bjornnes “wanted to give you [as in, me] a heads up that Kim [and] Kris were spotted at the Five Guys in Edina” Sunday night. An insider at Five Guys confirmed the sighting to me Tuesday.
While Five Guys is great, I was hoping that Humphries would also expose Kardashian to other fine metro restaurants. She needs to see that neither LA nor NYC has much on the Twin Cities, dining-wise.
Various websites report that Kardashian and Humphries also dined with his parents at Minneapolis’ Grand Hotel. My Wednesday call to Kris’ dad, Will Humphries, who’s considered something of an intimidating figure, has not been returned. However, a source known to me reported that Grand dining experience and noted that a chef was called back to the hotel restaurant when they learned Kardashian and other glitterati were dining there. E!Online reports that Kardashian stayed at the Humphries family’s suburban Minneapolis home (which a source known to me heard was a possibility) and that Kris took Kim snowmobiling.
“Kardashian is already making a good impression with beau Kris Humphries’ family members,” wrote E!Online. No breathtaking news there to anyone who’s seen her on E!’s “Keeping Up With the Kardashians.”
If this little romance, which came to the attention of NY gossips in November, keeps puttering along, with no more sightings of her out with the likes of Gabriel Aubry, the truest test of Kardashian’s charm and persuasive powers will be revealed if Humphries turns up on the reality show with Bruce and Kris Jenner and the rest of the K-K-K-K’s.
Humphries is a tad media-phobic, but Kris Jenner will fix that if he’s staying in the picture.

E!’s own Kim Kardashian has the distinct pleasure of getting to know the answer to that question. She was in Miami last night cheering her beau, New Orleans Saints running back Reggie Bush, to victory.
“It was pretty insane,” she gushed to Ryan Seacrest on the radio this morning. “It was such a surreal feeling. I mean, this is the moment that Reggie’s been waiting for his entire life, and it was just so cool to be there and be in the middle of it and run on the field!
“Like, everything you see in a movie, it’s exactly what happened.”
When she finally caught up with him and confetti filled the stadium, she couldn’t contain her excitement.
“I mean, it was just kisses and, you know, congratulations and I love you and we did it,” she said. “It was happening so fast and there were so many people around. It was such a whirlwind.”
The reality-TV starlet admits she and her family were anxious throughout the beginning of the game, but felt confident after halftime.
“The first quarter, we were kind of like, ‘OK, this is gonna be tough,’ ” she admitted. “And then, the second half, we were just, ‘We got this.’ I wasn’t even nervous. There was just this calmness, and we just felt like we were gonna do it.”
Kim, Reggie and the team are heading to New Orleans, where the team will participate in Tuesday’s Mardi Gras parade.
Reggie’s game-winning jersey, however, won’t be there. Kim said Kris Jenner stuffed the sweaty shirt into her purse after the game to have it framed (grass stains and all) but made no mention of any sort of proposal.

Kim Kardashian and Reggie Bush are back on, but their schedules are still busy as ever.
Kim is celebrating her 29th birthday early tonight at Tao in Vegas, but her footballer boyfriend won’t be joining the party.
“He can’t come because of the game,” she said at last night’s launch of InFatuation lip gloss. But don’t feel too bad for Kimmy: Her entire family and Keeping Up With the Kardashians costars will be at the Sin City fête, including Kris, Bruce, Khloé and even preggers Kourtney.
Besides, her actual birthday isn’t until Oct. 21, so maybe the running back can slip away from practice to see her on the big day?
Still, it may be worth making plans without him. Football’s also gonna put the kibosh on spending Halloween together. While they donned gangster couples’ costumes last year, Kim says Reggie won’t be dressing up with her this time…
“I have the sexiest Princess Jasmine costume,” Kim told E! News at the QuickTrim launch at GNC Thursday. “It’s basically a bikini with sheer drapes around the arms.”
But the athlete won’t be her Aladdin.
“I wish, but he is going to be in New Orleans because he has a game,” Kim tells E! News.

DWTS: Will Kim Replace Injured Misty?
E! News’ very own Ryan Seacrest just spoke with Kim Kardashian, and she may be returning to Dancing With the Stars despite her shocking elimination last week!
In the wake of Misty May-Treanor’s injury, Kim told Ryan that following boyfriend Reggie Bush’s game tonight at the Superdome, she is “racing home” to meet her dance partner and head into a rehearsal.
Now, ABC says that “[Misty's] condition will be addressed on the show,” and that Kim is not officially confirming that she is back in if Misty is out, but…
We’ve all seen reality shows before, and this definitely fits the formula. Remember when Jack Mackenroth had to bow out of Project Runway season four because of a medical condition? Chris March, the most recent eliminee, returned to fill the empty slot. Or when Jessica King dropped out of So You Think You Can Dance this summer because of an injury? Most recent eliminee Comfort Fedoke stepped in to fill the empty slot.
Methinks it’s pretty certain that Kim is putting her dancin’ shoes back on.
In case you didn’t already hear the news, Olympic women’s volleyball star Misty May-Treanor suffered an injury (said to be to her Achilles tendon) on Friday. Producers released a statement saying, “Doctors will reevaluate her condition on Monday and determine the outcome of her participation on the show.” No telling what that determination was, but it sure seems possible that Misty may not be able to continue with season seven of ABC’s hit dance-competition reality series.
There’s also no word yet on what this might mean for Kim’s former partner, Mark Ballas, or for Misty’s partner, Maksim Chmerkovskiy.
