Kris Humprhies and Kim Kardashian are headed for a very public divorce trial in LA, and it is likely that it will all be open to the public and televised, HollywoodLife.com has learned.
That means that Kim Kardashian, Kris Humphries and probably many Kardashians — Kourtney, Khloe and even Kris Jenner too — will have to testify about all aspects of the Kardashian/Humphries marriage for the world to hear and the trial will likely go on for weeks, says family attorney Vikki Zeigler.
“There are no divorce settlement talks going on,” a source close to the Humphries family reveals to HollywoodLife.com exclusively.
Kim Kardashian filed for divorce from Kris on Oct. 31, 2011, 72 days after her wedding and then Kris Humphries filed to annul the marriage based on fraud on Dec. 1.
As much as she wants, Kim can not end her marriage to Kris right now until a judge rules whether or not there is “clear and convincing evidence” that fraud has occurred in the marriage.
Kris truly believes that “Kim had no intention to stay married to him and she just got married to make money,” the Humphries source reveals to HollywoodLife. ”He and his team wouldn’t go forward if they didn’t believe that they could prove this [in court.]”
So right now, Kim and Kris are on track to face-off in court by the end of summer and they will most likely find that the proceedings are all televised because California has an “open policy on popular court cases.” In other words, cases that are expected to be highly popular like the O.J. Simpson case, which Kim’s father Robert Karadshian prosecuted , and the Lindsay Lohan cases, are all open to the television cameras.
The only way for Kim to keep her divorce from airing in public is to make a financial settlement with Kris or to agree to his request for an annulment based on fraud.
The problem for Kim is that is she agrees to the annulment, there’s a lot of risk on her side, points out the source. Aside from damaging her reputation, there may be suppliers to her “fairy tale” wedding who won’t be too happy, if it’s found to be a fraudulent marriage.
So what will Kris’s team use to prove the marriage is fraud?
“Kim was filming scenes saying that she was dissatisfied with her marriage during the week of Sept. 8, which was barely three weeks after the wedding,” says the source. “His team believe that the season of KKTNY was developed with the theme of divorce, without Kris being made aware of it.”
Kris never had any idea that Kim was unhappy in her marriage to him, says the source. “Kris was never in the scenes where they discuss Kim’s unhappiness and he never caught Kim talking to her sisters about being unhappy.”
So couldn’t Kris tell that Kim was being cool to him as she was on the show?
“When the pair wasn’t filming, Kim was normal and affectionate to Kris,” the source contends.
“Kris understood that he was committing himself to the Kardashian way of life,” so he wasn’t surprised when he was asked to film scenes that seemed scripted.
Interestingly, scenes that were filmed for KKTNY that appeared on the show, like Kim refusing to allow Kris to move his boxes into her house in LA, can actually bolster Kris’s case that the marriage was a fraud, says Vikki.
“It shows that she never had any intent of doing what a wife is supposed to do — live with her husband.” Vikki explains.
Vikki adds that there are several KKTNY scenes that could be used as evidence in court, including “the fact that she was so cold to him on camera, and that she was talking about having major issues in her marriage so soon after her wedding and that she never made a real effort to repair her marriage.”
HollywoodLife.com has also learned that Kris Humphries may be initiating other civil cases against Kim, according to the source.”Kris thought he was getting married for life and he found out he was getting a divorce on a radio show,” says the source.
The millionaire socialite — who recently flew to Minnesota to be with her estranged husband Kris Humphries — has apologized to her in-laws for the damage her marriage drama has done to them.
“Kim feels deeply embarrassed and sad about what happened, and decided . . . to talk things through with Kris . . . She also wants to apologize to Kris’ family for all the drama, media attention and hurt this has caused them. She regrets not calling them to explain before she filed for divorce,” a source told New York Post gossip column Page Six.
“This isn’t about a reconciliation. The problem is they are two fundamentally different people. He is younger and has different priorities. They could not even agree on where to live: He wants to be in Minnesota, and she wants to be in LA . . .
“She is also very hurt that he issued a statement saying he was blindsided by the divorce filing. He knew it was coming; they both knew things weren’t working . . . but some part of Kim also misses Kris, and still wants him to be a part of her life.
“He learned of his divorce on the Internet.”
Kris Humphries’ family has been crushed by Kim Kardashian’s decision to end their marriage — telling friends, the reality star is making a massive “mistake” for giving up on Kris so soon.
Sources close to Kris’ family tell TMZ, everyone knew there was tension in the relationship — but they never imagined divorce was on the table. As one source put it, “Everyone fights.”
The Humphries believe Kim is making a huge “mistake” — insisting she never gave the marriage a fighting chance … and should have tried harder to make things work.
That said, Kris’ fam still believes he can salvage his marriage and talk Kim down off the ledge, convincing her to slam the brakes on divorce proceedings.
According to sources, Kris’ family loves Kim and they’re hoping beyond hope the divorce doesn’t go through — particularly because “it would kill Kris” if it was really the end.

Heading for a post-engagement trip out of the country, Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries have touched down in Monaco.
The reality star and professional basketball player took to the small European nation to celebrate their upcoming summertime nuptials with Humphries’ family.
As Humphries revealed to People, he had every detail of the trip nailed down prior to popping the question, telling, “I wanted to propose before the trip so we could really spend some quality time together with my family as a couple. I planned it out this way.”
The elated bride-to-be added, “We’re celebrating … on a family vacation with them.”
While in the Twin Cities, Kim Kardashian was reportedly overheard referring to Kris Humphries by the pet name “Roman.”
No further context or interpretation is available. But it doesn’t take much imagination to see a Roman god when you look at the gorgeous Humphries, although the NBAer’s beak is his least Augustusian facial feature.
After ringing in the New Year in Las Vegas at Tao, where she debuted her new single according to “Entertainment Tonight,” Kardashian flew to Minneapolis to be courtside while the Timberwolves rang in 2011 by defeating Humphries’ team, the Nets.
In other activities, an e-mailer by the name of Alex Bjornnes “wanted to give you [as in, me] a heads up that Kim [and] Kris were spotted at the Five Guys in Edina” Sunday night. An insider at Five Guys confirmed the sighting to me Tuesday.
While Five Guys is great, I was hoping that Humphries would also expose Kardashian to other fine metro restaurants. She needs to see that neither LA nor NYC has much on the Twin Cities, dining-wise.
Various websites report that Kardashian and Humphries also dined with his parents at Minneapolis’ Grand Hotel. My Wednesday call to Kris’ dad, Will Humphries, who’s considered something of an intimidating figure, has not been returned. However, a source known to me reported that Grand dining experience and noted that a chef was called back to the hotel restaurant when they learned Kardashian and other glitterati were dining there. E!Online reports that Kardashian stayed at the Humphries family’s suburban Minneapolis home (which a source known to me heard was a possibility) and that Kris took Kim snowmobiling.
“Kardashian is already making a good impression with beau Kris Humphries’ family members,” wrote E!Online. No breathtaking news there to anyone who’s seen her on E!’s “Keeping Up With the Kardashians.”
If this little romance, which came to the attention of NY gossips in November, keeps puttering along, with no more sightings of her out with the likes of Gabriel Aubry, the truest test of Kardashian’s charm and persuasive powers will be revealed if Humphries turns up on the reality show with Bruce and Kris Jenner and the rest of the K-K-K-K’s.
Humphries is a tad media-phobic, but Kris Jenner will fix that if he’s staying in the picture.

After ringing in 2011 and debuting her new song at Tao Las Vegas, Kim hopped a flight to Minneapolis with BFF Brittny Gastineau in tow to cheer on New Jersey Nets player Kris courtside.
And guess which of Kris’ family member she was sitting next to?
That would be his sister Kaela, an eyewitness tells E!.
And despite the fact that his team lost the Minnesota Timberwolves, Kris “played really well in the game and Kim was cheering for him the entire time,” a source says.
After the game at the Target Center, Kim joined Kris, Kaela and his parents for dinner at the nearby Grand Hotel.
“Kris’ family like Kim,” a source tells E! “They think she is really nice, considerate and pretty.”
Humphries’ rep confirms Kim met his parents, telling E!: “Yes, they met and it was a wonderful meeting.”
And instead of joining his teammates, who were staying at the Grand Hotel, Humphries, Kardashian and friends spent most of their time hanging out at the Minnesota native’s house in Minnetonka.
On Sunday, K Squared and a group of pals braved the freezing temperatures to go snowmobiling at a rural farm.
“Kris and Kim have fun together,” adds the source. “They get along really well.”
Sources tell E! that while the Humphries family approves of Kim, Kardashian matriarch Kris has yet to meet the new Kris in daughter Kim’s life.
